Last post of 2011!
It has been a wonderful year and a few things:
1. I think what this year has made me realise is that you don't have to worry too much about things at all, they will work out eventually somehow and worrying too much is just going to give you frown lines (x but really, worrying about things that you cannot control is just needless and letting things go is so much better (though not necessarily easier). things will be okay in the end :D
2. the enormity of making choices scares us, and it is really scary because we keep getting scared that if we choose something, something else will be shut off from us. but i think what we have to accept is that when you make a choice, it will open some doors and close others. there is no perfect choice, no matter however much we search for it- just follow your heart. All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind is a part of ourselves. We must die to one life before we can enter another. (Anatole France)
3. There's nothing wrong with doubting yourself sometimes. I think we all have those moments of insecurity, even the happiest of us have their problems. It's okay, but eventually you have to let it go and get on with life.
4. Just because you're not as good as others in some aspects doesn't mean that you are unworthy somehow.
this year- i am simply incredibly grateful for all the opportunities offered to me, OM, house, whatever. i'm grateful for all the crap i had to go through because it did make me a better person. grateful for all the joy and the love amongst all the crap that's helped me survive everything somehow. and above all, i'm very very grateful that i'm ending this year on a happy note and not a skeptical/depressed one, because considering everything that happened i may well be doing that right now, but a new year is starting in 15 minutes and 2012 will be amazing <3 despite how nervous i am for sec3 and 310 and hssrp and everything, i know it'll be amazing :DD
