just saw this on youtube and really, wow. this may not be the type of music i like or appreciate, but what struck me was the absolute passion for singing those guys obviously had that is lacking in so many famous singers nowadays, the simplicity of the stage and everything else. no extravagant strange clothes or gestures or crazy high music, yet the sincerity is so evident- and this makes me wonder what the music industry is coming to nowadays. i cannot argue with the people who genuinely like the craziness of music nowadays but it is so difficult to find new songs that will hit you hard and now just because you're in love or out of love but will hit you simply because those songs are that good because they don't seem to exist any more. all these singers, you look at their live performances and you start wondering do they really care about the music? and underneath all this commercialization and glamorization where do you find the real music? i know most people won't agree with me and i can easily accept that that sort of music is what you want but i guess it just frustrates me so much that this... lack of sincerity is seeping into everything, even something as sacred and amazing as music because i really cannot understand why people would make music for any reason other than love for music.
